HONEY MAMA’S

MAKERS OF THE ORIGINAL REFRIGERATED TRUFFLE BAR
Honey Mama’s, Portland-based pioneer of the honey-sweetened truffle bar, has always danced along the fine line between decadence and wholesome simplicity. I was brought on to develop creative direction and set design for the launch of their most anticipated flavor drop yet — Peanut Butter Cup — and its sister flavor, Peanut Butter Cookie.

The campaign celebrated unexpected delight, rich texture, and the universal nostalgia of peanut butter. Our goal was to reflect Honey Mama’s values of joy and simplicity, providing a vibrant library of playful, energetic assets for multi-platform use.

THE PEANUT BUTTER PENTHOUSE
The crown jewel of the campaign was a fully-minuature peanut-themed lounge we built into a real fridge. You’ve heard of the Butter Penthouse* — now meet the Peanut Butter Penthouse, a lush hyperstylized diorama peanut-butter chocolate lounge in your fridge, home to the most delicious peanut-butter chocolate bar ever created. There are suede peanut-shaped couches, peanut art on the walls, crushed velvety carpet, a gleaming disco ball. Cracking open the fridge door has never been this exciting.

*For the uninitiated, the Butter Penthouse® is the little compartment in your fridge door where the butter resides, a haven from whence the butters can look down at the sad plebians below, amongst the leftovers and wilted vegetables.

LIFE’S GREATEST COMFORTS
For the Peanut Butter Cookie campaign, our north star was childhood nostalgia — primary colors, warm afternoon light, and the kitchen countertops of bygone summers.

We pushed the theme to its natural limit by building a vibrant little hilltop diorama, featuring a heroic Honey Mama’s bar surrounded by wildflowers and overlooking a rollicking peanut butter river. (Some have interpreted it as a peanut butter pathway, to which I say — follow your bliss, baby.)
